Revelation 20
Revelation chapter 20 is a clarifying and comforting reminder that the people of God are safe in Christ. The people of God are safe in death, safe in tribulation, and safe in judgment.
Revelation 19:11-21
Chapter 19 concludes with a judgment scene. We can look at this scene from three main views: The Judge, the battle, and us.
Revelation 19:1-10
The first section of Revelation 19 is a vision of salvation, marriage, and new life together between Jesus and his bride in the kingdom of God.
Revelation 18
Chapter 18 is where it all ends. All things materialistic and egotistic are judged. The chapter can be broken down into 3 distinct parts: Judgement, Laments, and an Angels Song.
Revelation 17
Chapter 17 contains symbolism from the Old Testament and elsewhere in Revelation. How does this symbolic vision picture reality and what response from us does it call for?
Revelation 16:10-21
Chapter 16 concludes another cycle of the story of God's victory over evil, his salvation of his people, and his promise to remove wickedness from his creation.
Revelation 15:5-16:9
This section of scripture shows us God's wrath. It is an extension of His love. He will not stand for His creation and His people being harmed forever- one day his patient waiting will be done. Wrong will be made right.
Revelation 15:1-4
Chapter 15 begins with John's visions overlapping with one another. The imagery in these verses reminds us of Christ's victory and that we should respond to his grace and goodness with worship- and pray for those who don't see it.
Revelation 14
"Chapter 14 marks the end of another cycle of visions. This cycle began in chapter 12 with the anticipation of Christ's birth and ends here with the final judgment" - Greg Beale
Revelation 13
In Chapter 12, the dragon was persecuting the people of God. In Chapter 13 we get more detail about how he does that.
Revelation 12
Chapter 12 is meant to give us hope through an apocalyptic retelling of the Christmas story. It reminds us that our enemy is defeated.
Revelation 11
Revelation 11 is one of the book's most complex and debated chapters. We finish the "pause" at the end of chapter 10 with the last trumpet. The chapter's message proclaims that the church's witness is dangerous, prophetic, effective, and for everyone.
Revelation 10
Revelation 10 shows us that God's message is authoritative, inevitable, and bittersweet. As we figure out God's message to us in this text, we can consider what our response, as faithful Christians, should be.
Revelation 8:13-9:21
This text in Revelation shows the frightening imagery in John's visions. It takes a look at the dark side of spirituality. This passage should wake us up to this bigger world and help us take our lives more seriously, motivating us to share the good news with others.
Revelation 8:1-12
Revelation 8 invites us to embrace God's judgment. Why should we embrace God's judgment? Because it is just, it is an answer to prayer, and it is merciful.
Revelation 7
In chapter 7 we see a great army, sheltered by God, shepherded by the Lamb, the resurrected Jesus. And He leads us out of exile and brings us to our true home.
Revelation 6:9-17
How long until there is justice? How long until the resurrection? How long until God's people are complete? These cries resonate with us today as we often get impatient while we wait on God. But we can rest knowing that He knows exactly what He is doing.
Revelation 6:1-8
Chapter 6 starts with John watching as the Lamb of God opens the first of seven seals. These seals are revealing God’s judgments on the earth through wars, famine, and death. How should we interpret the symbolism in Revelation and what does it mean for our lives?
Revelation 5
Revelation chapter 5 shows us why Jesus is worthy of worship. He conquers through his cross, redeeming a people from out of all the nations, and restoring creation to the glory that it was meant to always have.
Revelation 4
Chapter 4 gives an opportunity to learn about worship, The One who is worshiped, the ones who worship, and the worship itself.
